Course Description

Up until recently, compliance was a customised product. Very few clients paid the same price and each product was different. With cloud accounting systems now infiltrating around 15% of the business community Accountants are able to offer packaged pricing for compliance. We have seen prices advertised on websites for 30-70% less than normal compliance pricing!

This is a major issue facing the profession that you cannot stop. Social change demands that data and information is read and accessed on smartphones and portable tablet computers. Huge technology companies who used to be ‘hard drive’ companies are reinventing themselves so their product can be accessed via the internet.

Any industry that is an intermediary, a processing business, an information seller or an ‘over the phone’ business is in the firing line for technology convergence and globalisation. Sound like anyone you know? Because of this the estimates are that anywhere from 20% - 70% of your current compliance revenue will disappear. What are you going to do with new capacity and the possibility of reducing revenue?

Learning Objectives

  • How your business revenue will be affected by commoditised compliance

  • What new revenue streams to introduce to overcome this

  • How Accounting firms are already delivering online compliance packages to businesses

  • How to protect your business from overseas accounting “processing shops”
